January 2010 -vs Kona Kai - 1W-3L-0

Our spring Interclub season has begun with 14 matches scheduled through May. A reminder to update your availability on Etennis periodically so that assignments to matches are made from current availability. Thanks to the players who enjoyed our first match and lunch with Kona Kai: Eve Voydat, Carol Moulton, Patty Chicchi (welcome to town for the day), Anne Abrams, Gretchen Callahan, Mary Ann Weingartner, Bernita Johnson and Laverne Bornschlegel.   

October 28 - Home vs Cupertino TC - 0-3-1
Yeah, Cuesta tennis courts are resurfaced and were close to the first match played after the re-opening. We were one player short in order to field four teams, but Linda Crosta from Cupertino stepped in to fill the void - so many of us are on both Interclub teams and it was friends playing friends - all had a good time. In addition to Linda, thanks to Diane Silverman, Patty Chicchi, Anne Abrams, Susan Miller, Karen Kenton, Bette Bates and Pat Frischmann.

October 29 - Away @ Kona Kai - 4-0
All enjoyed very close matches and socializing with the team from Kona Kai. Thanks to Gayle Dilley, Cindy Ng, Becky Yung, Patty Chicchi, Rachel Cheng, Grace Haig, Bernita Johnson and Laverne Bornschlegel. WELCOME back to Los Altos, Grace, we missed you!

September 09 Home Almaden S&R 3W-1L

Our Interclub season has begun, and we look forward to playing on the re-surfaced Cuesta Tennis Center courts in October. During the closure of Cuesta, a couple of dates have been changed in order to play all matches scheduled. Currently, we don’t have a new date to play Racqueteers, but will advise all on Etennis when new date is set.

Thanks to the players who enjoyed our first match AND lunch at the much cleaner Cuesta Tennis Center - Snyeska Bendis, Rachel Cheng, Diane Silverman, Charlene Johnson, Becky Yung (welcome to LATC Interclub), Susan Miller, Pat Frischman and Patty Chicchi.

September 17 Away Ladera Oaks 1W-2L-1T

In re-arrangement of our match with Ladera, they forgot to inform us they could only muster three teams - we brought four. In the end, we all played because we pulled a couple of gals playing on another court to make our 4th match. The Ladera Oak’s score reflects a tie rather than a loss for one match due to a misunderstanding about time issues.
