LATC Board Minutes
April 5, 2006


The Board was called to order by President Tom Gregory. Those attending were Tom Gregory, Lynne Sweet, Grace Haig, Maryann
Weingartner, LaVan Gray, Lynn Hunton, Frank Smyth, Marilyn Shodiss, Marijke Vallaeys, Pat Frischmann, Doris Lehr and Marilyn Young.

The Minutes for the last meeting were approved.

Membership: All non-renewed member are being called to urge renewal.
 At the present time we have 137 members, 113 of whom are families.

Treasurer: The Treasurer’s report was perused and accepted.

Tournament: There are presently 6-8 teams registered for the April 7 tournament. Maryanne and Levan will pick up the food. It was
emphasized again that a key is needed in order to allow the porta-potty
to be parked inside the gates.

Ladders: Singles, 12 matches played, some rained out. Women's’ Doubles, 16 teams, mostly rained out.

USTA. Jack will check with Mike Wobber

Interclub: 3.0-3.5 have 40-45 members on list. Since March 7th there
have been 2 rain-outs and 2 matches, one won, one lost.  2.5-3.0 Rained out. 3.5-4.0: no report

Tennis for Charity: Rain!

Publicity: Pat was thanked for the publicity she arranged in the Town Crier about the tournament.

Profiles: A profile of Levan will appear in the next newsletter.

Web site: Marijke reported that the passwords are working. Members can e-mail Syneska for password.
Relay for Life (Cancer charity) participation packets were offered to the board by Doris Lehr and Pat Frischmann.  The LATC will be a sponsor, and Bd members volunteered for walking booth duty.
The Board welcomed Bd. Member Marijke Vallaeys,  who had traveled from her home in France, with a cake and a seranade by Jack and Frank.
