Just renewed my membership using the Google checkout method! I just went to the Club Website “www.losaltostennisclub.com and went to “membership” and filled out the blanks – easy and quick! Or you can print and fill out the form there or the form in the newsletter and mail in. – Don’t forget! Many thanks to Marijke Vallaeys and Patrick, who created and maintains the website and set up the Google payment method!

Your Board is working on ideas to make the Club more interesting and fun for our members. We are planning a survey and have a group coming up with ideas. If anyone has ideas, we would love to hear them! Let us know!

Good news on the Rosita/Covington Park Courts! Construction is beginning on the new facilities! Should be fun to see the new courts and restrooms being built!

Jean Hassoun, one of our members, has been elected to the Board of Directors of USTA/Norcal, our branch of the USTA. Congratulations! Despite some health problems, Jean has continued to also be very active in helping kids in the area become involved in tennis by refereeing tournaments etc. Way to go Jean!


Sherry Barba has done a great job of organizing and promoting the Monday Morning Tennis at Cuesta. The ladies recently gave her a nice luncheon! Sherry has helped initiate a “rain” number for Cuesta – If the weather looks doubtful, you can call 650 967-5955 and get an update on the court conditions!

With the challenging weather in these winter months, sometimes it is hard to get a tennis match in – but keep at it – Spring is coming!
