We had an outstanding board meeting at Mary Ann Weingartner’s home! Mary Ann was a gracious host and we had a good turnout of board members and spouses. It was a fun group with lots of good ideas for activities for the coming year. Judy Gentry, Bob Pearl and Jack Bates are working on setting up some mixed doubles play days with some social and dining aspects that should be enjoyable. Schedules for the USTA Leagues were reviewed for possible USTA teams. Tom Gregory and Jean Hassoun discussed ways to make the ladders more fun with some new ideas. Sayuri and Laverne indicated that they have an active Interclub schedule planned -we should have a good year of tennis!

The group voted unanimously to honor Jean Hassoun by making him a lifetime member of the Los Altos Tennis Club after a nice presentation by Mary Ann in honor of his lifetime of service to the tennis community, youth tennis and the Los Altos Tennis Club. Thanks to Jean for his good work and we hope he continues his work for many years!
