Summer is almost over leading to a busy fall season of Interclubs, Ladders,
Tournaments (and USTA play for many members).
The 3.0 and 3.5 Interclubs start up the first week in September, providing lots of competitive
play for over 80 ladies in our club.

We hope to have LATC USTA teams, and Bill Powell is more than willing
to oversee needs for USTA, but we need captains for the various
levels of teams within USTA. Please see Bill’s article in this newsletter.

LATC is also continually looking for ways to make membership beneficial
for all, so we are offering a FREE Fall Classic Team Tennis Tournament
to be held Saturday, October 13. The team format in the Smash
Cancer Tournament was a big success and it will be used again for this
tournament -so please contact Frank Smyth to enter. You may also enter
(free) a non-member spouse/significant other/guest. We encourage
all to join in on a great tennis day and also enjoy the camaraderie of
other fellow players at lunch (free).
