Looks like a lovely spring is developing with lots of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors and play a little tennis!

We enjoyed the “Economic Stimulus” tournament on May 14 (See detailed report) – Note that since the tournament and it economic stimulus, the Dow is up over 1000 points and over 10 home sales have closed in Los Altos – Cause and Effect? Who knows?

All Member Play Day is planned for this Saturday, April 11, 10AM-1PM at the Los Altos High School Tennis Courts.
Price is FREE! Noted Coach and recently certified Professional Tennis Instructor, Frank Smyth is planning to pass on a few tips and we will play some fun doubles games as well as enjoying some great cuisine from Patty. So plan to join in the fun!

The All Member Meeting and Dinner is planned for May 7 at the Garden House in Shoup Park. Be sure to put on your calendar – Always a delightful evening to meet with tennis friends and have some good food and entertainment.

The Relay for Life Tournament is planned for June 13 and the Relay for Life Dinner is slated for Monday, June 8 at the Fiesta Vallarta Restaurant. Doris Lehr is heading up the Relay for Life relays set for June 20-21. Karen Cano and Lynn Sweet are organizing the dinner activities. These have been fun activities and have aided in raising a lot of $ to help research on fighting cancer, so be sure to plan on joining in on these! Volunteers are cheerfully accepted!

Sherry Barba’s Monday Morning Tennis is going strong! Drop by Cuesta Park at 9:00AM on Monday mornings and join in the fun!

As proof that living in Santa Clara Valley and playing a lot of tennis is good for you – Long-time Tennis Club member, Lynn Hunton will be celebrating the 67th anniversary of his wedding to his lovely wife Martha this year!
