Tennis for charity (TFC)

MIXED PAIRS PROGRAM

The Los Altos Tennis Club will sponsor the
2010 TFC Program for the 9th year beginning February 2010
.

The ole expression "Rainin' Cats & Dogs" applies for the inclement weather we have experienced for the month of February 2010. Certainly not a good start for the TFC Mixed Pairs Program for the new year. But another ole expression also applies: "Hope Springs Eternal"! The weather will change and Fun in the California sun will soon begin.

Several matches were completed, between the rain drops, offering enjoyment for the players who were able to get the matches in.

A reminder is extended to all Team members to make the contacts via telephone or email to set up their matches for the remaining time until Saturday, July 10, 2010 when the "TFC" Awards & Garden Party will be held. Note: Matches missed during the rainy Feb. 2010 can be scheduled for the remaining months until the Awards Party. All scores should be emailed to Jack Bates, TFC Coordinator to assist in determining the Award Winners at the completion of the Mixed Pair schedule.

Additionally, all Team Members must send their donation checks (Made out to "CSA") to Jack Bates @ P.O. Box 4263, Mountain View, CA.94040.
All donations will be given to the Executive Director of "CSA" (Tom Myers) by March 17, 2010.
Your observance of this reminder will be appreciated.

All questions, recommendations, are always welcome.

The pursuit of Tennis Players for Fun, Fitness and Friendship on the court, blends with a special understanding for the need to Care & Support others who have economic, physical or social needs.

Note: The "Mixed Double" TFC teams can be made up of Los Altos Tennis Club members, & other invited local club members. (i.e. Mtn. View, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, Palo Alto etc.) The Program begins Feb. 1, 2010 and finishes in July 2010 with an "Awards & Garden Party" as in previous years. The Program Outline will be sent to all Participating Teams in January via email.

Come join with us in providing support to those in need and enjoy the special "Lifetime Sport" of tennis. more>
