Team Member Charitable Participation
The curtain has closed on the year 2008 for the TFC Program. Many thanks to everyone on behalf of myself and Myrna Irigon for your participation and assistance during one of our best years ever. Thank you as well for your gracious donations to the Los Altos/Mtn. View Community Service Agency and those they serve. Your gifting was a generous act on your part and served to help some of the many "at risk" people in our immediate community.
Awards & Garden Party Biggest in 7 years
The Year 2008 was exceptionally successful because of the approximately 60 people involved in both the Charitable aspects, the tennis competition and the Awards and Garden Party in July. You all are to be congratulated for your involvement in these 3 aspects of the TFC Program.
The Award Winners:
Two teams tied for the six game season as undefeated and were presented with timely awards: (Men's & Lady's watches) The winners were:
1. Julye Griffith & George Harris (Team #1) 2. Fran Fuller & Karl Mellon (Team #18)
Mini-Olympic Medal Winners:
In keeping with the Olympic Spirit, attendees participated in Foosball, Ping Pong, Short Court Tennis and Bocce Ball for Gold, Silver & Bronze medals: The winners were being interviewed by national media correspondents and their names are withheld until released after review by media syndication.
A grateful thank you is extended to the "Still-Kickin' Band, led by Myrna Irigon, for the charitable donation of their time & talent during the Awards Party. A word of appreciation is also extended to Bob Pearl for his entertaining "one person interpretation" of the Opera "Romeo & Juliet". Additionally, many thanks to Robert Mulinger, representing the CSA Board of Directors, for his warm words of thanks to participants on their gracious donations to CSA. (His wife, Wanda Radcliff has participated in the TFC Program for four years.)
To Everyone...Your participation produced smiles & laughter during 6 months of Tennis, coupled with the joy of serving others in our immediate community.
My very best regards and THANK YOU! (See you next year!)
