On Friday, the weather forecast was for cloudy skies but dry weather on Saturday April 10. But when morning came there was a light drizzle of rain and dark skies – not an encouraging prospect for the tournament. But the group persevered!

Tom Gregory and Lynn Hunton showed up with the mobile sanitary facilities and chairs and tables and everyone assisted in setting up and proceeded to start warming up. Fortune again smiled! The rain let up and a light breeze dried the court!

The teams were named in honor of the spring motif as follows:
Bunnies: Phyllis Bismanovsky, Connie Gannon, Janie Nickel, Ed Seaman.
Chicks: Bill Helson, Debbie Ryan, Elli Bernacchi, Thomas Rossing.
Eggs: Judi Gentry, Patsy Duke, Bob Pearl, France Rode.
Peeps: Helen Helson, Bob Ruff, Joyce Johnsen, Tom Gregory.
Sun: Bill Powell, Maneeza MalikMoon, Virginia Sorensen, Lynn Hunton.

The format was a “Pro Set” with 8 no-ad games and a mandatory 7 point tie-breaker followed by switching opponent’s teams and playing a second Pro Set followed by a men against men and a women against women Pro Set.
The weather continued to cooperate, and fierce competition ensued!

Amazingly, several teams wound up with tied scores! So all adjourned for a light lunch of sandwiches, fruit, veggies and cookies followed by selection of prizes.

Thanks to all who helped to set up and help organize and disassemble! Of note -Virginia Sorenson handled registration; France, Tom and Lynn as usual were super helpful in setting up. Bill Helson arranged the drinks.
